In 2019 I founded KHPH Animation studios in Ghana. As the founder and creative director of , I led a passionate, multidisciplinary team to produce Abrefi Kɔtɔ, the first animated film by a woman in Ghana, a milestone that shattered expectations in a traditionally male-dominated industry. From conceptual design to finished motion picture, I balanced creative vision with practical execution, navigating funding challenges, cultural expectations, and resource limitations through sheer determination and craft.

Whew, I wore many hats on this production. I was the producer and director, the writer behind the story, the storyboard artist shaping every frame, a 2D and 3D animator bringing characters to life, and even the voice over artist. Somewhere along the way, I also sang one of the theme songs and edited the first cut of the film. The pressure brought out qualities I did not know I had. I was also fortunate to work with a strong, committed team whose talent, collaboration, and belief in the vision were essential to bringing the film to life amidst all the setbacks. This experience reinforced my appreciation for teamwork and the power in unity of vision.
